Help for Western Sydney women entrepreneurs to expand their businesses

Women entrepreneurs in Greater Western Sydney have until midnight tonight to register in a new project to help expand their businesses, improve their personal and business skills and potentially win one of two $4,000 business service packages.

The INSPIRING BUSINESS GROWTH project aims to help women entrepreneurs who have operated their business for at least 12 months to "go to the next level".

It combines coaching and mentoring in key business areas with key business networking, access to business leaders and the opportunity to compete to win one of two $4,000 business service support packages.

Local Area Marketing has joined the project as a sponsor and collaborator along with other business, state and local government organisations.

The first coaching sessions begins at 9am on Friday 29 March at Blacktown RSL Club. Registration closes at midnight Tuesday 26 March.

INSPIRING BUSINESS GROWTH runs over three months.

Key coaching areas include:

― Public speaking ― Branding strategies ― Dressing with confidence ― Elevator and writing pitches ― Creating a business growth strategy & marketing plan ― Budgeting ― Social media planning ― Financial Management

― HR and Legal considerations.

Why only Women?

Women often have dual roles with home and family in addition to building their business. They can’t always take advantage of regular workshops - so the organisers have combined the essentials into two workshop rounds with business specialists, mentors, networking and media support.*

How does this work?

Just enter the INSPIRING BUSINESS GROWTH competition by Tuesday 26 March and be ready for Round One coaching on Friday 29 March at Blacktown RSL Club. Details here.

Round 1 workshops* cover Creating an Elevator Pitch; Dressing with Confidence; Effective Presentations; Branding for Small Business. This will be followed by Pitch Preparation time for contestants before pitch presentation judging at 3pm.

A group of finalists will be selected to go forward to the Round Two workshops on 5 April in preparation for the Grand Final judging on 31 May.

Round 2 workshops* cover Strategic Business Planning; the Strategic Marketing Planning; Financial Management; Website Development; Social Media Planning, Business Law & Legal Considerations; Human Resource Management and Compliance; Business Expansion Tips.
