Opportunities for business & fun at three-day Parramasala Festival
If you are looking for a local opportunity to showcase your business, product or food sales - particularly food with a multicultural theme, then get involved with the Parramasala Festival - a three-day celebration of Australian cultures.
The annual festival attracts 35,000 people converging in Parramatta's streets, laneways and parks.
Held from 15-17 March, the Festival is said to be Sydney's' biggest cross-cultural celebration with cultures from South American to Middle Eastern, Indigenous Australian to South East Asian, and everything in between.
live music, film, vivid dance and theatre, a breathtaking parade of splendid colour, spectacular costumes, and beating rhythms are highlights of the festival representing more than 30 nationalities and cultures. A new food precinct is an addition to this year's festival.
NSW Minister for Multiculturalism, Ray Williams, said Parramasala reflected the growth and diversity of Greater Western Sydney.
"There’s nothing quite like Parramasala - a spectacular celebration of the success story of Western Sydney, it’s extraordinary multicultural identity and its continuing growth as an economic and social hub," he said.
"There will be tens of thousands of people who flock to Parramatta in March to experience the best local and international acts from all corners of the world.”
