Networking opportunities for start-up & small businesses

Start-up and small businesses are encouraged to use local business group meetings to make new contacts that can help to grow their businesses.

To aid this, Local Area Marketing is researching groups throughout Greater Western and from today begins publishing their details. (see below)

Preliminary results from its Business Start-up/SME News Service Survey ranks business networking information as the top priority and is moving to meet this need.

The first group of events is below. More will be posted as they become available and a web based calendar covering Greater Western Sydney business meetings established later this month.

If you haven't yet contributed your thoughts to the survey, you can still so via this link.

The groups are usually informal providing the opportunity for participants to introduce themselves and their business via a short introduction and business card distribution. Some have guest speakers or a system of allowing a designated attendee make a lengthier presentation, usually for a small sponsorship fee.
